There was a time when I was gifted odd appliances. It started with a heart shaped waffle iron then the Stir Crazy, Automatic Hands Freee Sauce Stirrer. And ended with a mini donut maker from Superstore. My husband knows how much I love cooking and baking. I know how much my husband loves that I love to cook and bake. This donut maker was to satisfy my love of baking while feeding his love of donuts. Now I am able to get my donut on at home in just minutes!
Part of my love for making things at home is having the control over the ingredients that go into them. I can change the ingredients to make them healthier or leave them as is for all the sugary goodness that donuts are meant to be! Mini donuts are a fan favourite for everyone making this one of our easy go-to recipes. Click HERE for FREE Printable Download “Whatever Sprinkles Your Donut” Image
You may have seen on my Instagram back in January that I had actually taken a photo of these little donuts that I had made. I topped them with Sprinkles from Dainty Sprinkle Co that I received a media gift from Celebrate Market. Celebrate was set for February however, unfortunately, it was canceled due to snowmageddon 2017 in Vancouver. Thankfully, they have rescheduled Celebrate to March 18th and you will find Dainty Sprinkle Co there. Our friend Andria of The Cheerio Diaries also made a wonderful Vanilla Dip Donuts and you can see her recipe HERE. Get your donut on.. trust me the kids will love you for this one!

Brush doughnuts with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or make a simple glaze icing. I did by combining 1 cup icing sugar, 1 teaspoon softened butter, a splash of vanilla, 1 tablespoon water, mix until smooth. Makes roughly 24 doughnuts.
