Native Shoes hit the Vancouver market  in 2009.  In 2012, while managing a retail store, we would have many people coming in looking for “Native Shoes”.  Having no idea what they were or where you could get them, we began researching what these shoes were exactly. A year or so later,  one of our stores began carrying  Native Shoes, just in time for summer. The Marble collection is melted to perfection, making them a summer necessity for kids!

“With a vision to create ‘Future Classics’ by combining iconic, casual silhouettes with the best of evolving technology. The result is lightweight, future forward shoes for men, women, and children. Distributed in more than 45 countries, Native makes innovative, creative, and above all, lite products. #keepitlite”

Ava wearing Native Shoes Summer Melted to perfectionNot having time for shoes amidst the summer fun, Ava was always annoyed about wearing shoes that were always “to hot”.  Furthermore, they would either give blisters or the velcro on sandals would take far to long to put on, truly hindering playtime!  For this reason, we had looked for a solution.  We found many different brands that make a similar shoe, but none of them compared to Natives quality. With pride, dedication and a deep understanding of what is important to families, Native sets itself apart from others making this same style shoe.  Native Shoes is a company I can proud to stand behind knowing that my family values are as important to them as they are to me.

Aside from great designs, beautiful colours and a reasonable price point, there are many attributes behind Native Shoes that make these shoes a no brainer purchase for my girls.

  1. Zoe wearing Native Shoes Marble Collection Melted to Perfection
shoes clean..yep! Kids.. Not so much!

The quality stands true, year after year! meaning Ava can outgrow them, I can wash them and they look brand new again and then I can hand them down to Zoe.

  2. Speaking of washing, they are easy to clean, quick to dry, which makes for no stress dirty playtime.
  3. Beast Free meaning all unicorns, and yeti’s were safe during the making of these shoes! To kids, this is a big deal!
  4. Given the open design and materials, these are odour resistant.. (finally a non-stinky shoe!)

The girls are wearing the Jefferson shoe from the Marbled collection.  They achieve this look by using a special method of injecting EVA. This ensures that no two shoes are created alike, meaning that each Marble is unique, a melted perfection! Furthermore, we’ve been growing tired of the same old shoes for the girls. Thankfully both Ava’s  Jefferson’s in the princess pink/shell white/marbled and Zoe’s in the Victoria Blue/shell white/marbled, give each outfit a fun pop of colour, certain uniqueness  and the light weight shoe ensures a summer of childish fun!
