Playtex is a household name.. always has and always will. Playtex is feminine products, baby products and Gloves! It’s one of those household names that everyone knows and trusts so when I had my first baby naturally Playtex was our 1st choice for bottles. We used the Vent Aire collection from the time we started Ava using a bottle to the time we finished. We even had a Playtex Diaper Genie so safe to say that we definitely were a Playtex household.
Thankfully we had such a great experience the 1st time around, that we couldn’t resist using them a second time around with Zoe. So when we had the opportunity to dry the Drop In Liners, I couldn’t say no. Every bottle has its pro’s and con’s and there will be things you love and things you don’t but you have to trust your gut and see what works for your little. The moment you think you figured it all out, your little will change their mind and refuse to take a bottle.
Zoe refused bottles for the longest time and then one day, I gave it another shot and low and behold, she LOVED it! We’ve tried a few now and we ended up with two that we really like and she’s ok switching between brands and nipples so I’m thankful for how easy-going she’s become now.
One of the things that I LOVED about the Playtex Nurser with Drop In Liners is the Optional Angled Design: Angled position promotes semi-upright feeding which is recommended by pediatricians to help prevent ear infections. Having this option made it easier for Zoe to hold the bottle and feed herself without having to crank her neck backwards. The Liner also collapse as to avoid any air being sucked in, both my girls got hiccups a lot so this feature was really helpful. Furthermore, we had a great appreciation for how easy the Playtex Nurser was while on the go, clean up was a breeze, I didn’t have to worry about finding a sink to rinse anything.
There truly are so many positive attributes to the Playtex Nurser, it’s BPA Free, Twist and Click Seal means that while Zoe is attempting to see how far she can throw it, it won’t leak all over the place like the initial bottle that we were gifted and we started with. Did I mention that Optional Angle Design?!
The only thing that was a real downer for this bottle is that the Drop In Liners are disposable so not the most environmentally friendly but even that negative comes with a bright side. They do make for a really simple clean up, simply dispose of the liner and pop everything into the dishwasher or hand-wash, whatever works for you!
