Today, I’m celebrating 8 years of motherhood as my oldest daughter Ava has entered the tween years, my little Ava Bear is 8 years old, officially she is a tween. There hasn’t been a single day where she hasn’t made herself known. My pregnancy with her wasn’t easy by any means and then she was the sweetest little girl who performed a sweetest song and dance always to make you smile. From baby, to toddler and everything in between this beautiful, spicy, stubborn, demanding, funny tween girl is giving me a run for my money!
I’m hoping to talk about Ava much more this year as I adventure in parenting a tween and a toddler. This interview will give you a bit of insight into my beautiful Ava born January 31, 2009 at BC Women’s Hospital. She was born at 3:52 pm, 7lbs 7 ozs and 50cm long! Everyone meet Ava…

I’d be lying if I said this parenting gig was a walk in the park! I’ve been at it for 8 years and I’m still not confident that I’m doing it well or right. Every once in a while, she will have this moment, this pure sweet genuine moment where I know that I’ve done well! Ava is loving and kind. She is funny and entertaining. Sometimes she can be quite hurtful and even spiteful but at the end of the day, we walk together. We scream at each other, we hug, we say I’m sorry and we try to move on. We are THAT mother and daughter! It’s been 8 years and I love her harder every day cause I know whether she will admit it or not she truly loves me!
Wishing my little Ava Bear the happiest of birthdays today!
